La Teatina is a small Italian restaurant in the Watergraafsmeer area. This restaurant is 10 minutes away from the tropen museum. The restaurant has room for 20 people. The kitchen is south Italian oriented and they have the slow food concept. So don’t eat here when your in a hurry but go sit here when you have all night  to wine and dine.

If the weather is good you can sit on the terrace with an excellent view on the fountain on the little square. The menu is small but that’s good; the daily specials are always fresh and according to the season.

There is enough choice between meat, fish and vegetarian pastas and dishes. The wines, red and white, are always good and not that expensive. The service could be grumpy now and then but they always try to make the best of it.

This restaurant is a bit out of the city centre but really worth visiting. The neighbourhood is nice and in a real Amsterdam neighbourhood. The restaurant is easy to reach by tram 9.
