• I’m Edwin, 29 years old, Business Controller and live in the Amsterdam ‘Eastern Docklands-area’, a new architecture area in the East of Amsterdam, just 15 minutes by bike/tram from Central Station. In this area you’ll find lots of great architecture, as well as ‘Het Bimhuis’, a concert hall for mostly classical music, and Panama, a big nightclub with parties every weekend. As I love to travel and already saw lots of cool places around the world, there is one things that intrigues me the most in every country / city / town: The local life. I’m always curious how people in different parts of the world / different cities, live. Their habits, their way of life, what is hot and what is not? To integrate in the local life of a city, you have to know which spots locals go to. Whether it’s for a drink, a nice dinner or a good night out, the locals are the one you should reach out to. These are things you can’t read in a book, books are not always up-to-date, so where do you address to? The internet! That’s why my friends and I came with the idea to make a website for tourists like you, who wants to experience the local life of us/ our local life. And then I’m proud and happy I live in Amsterdam, a city where there is always something to do. Festivals in Summer, good parties every weekend from Thursday to Sunday night and lots of different cultures, so lots of cuisines to try. About myself? I like to hang out with friends, sometimes in one of the bars reviewed on our website, or have dinner at one of the many great restaurant Amsterdam has to offer. I go clubbin’ in clubs with techno, dubstep or dance the night away with R&B/HipHop.
