This Italian restaurant is situated in the Southern part of the city. Close to the Vondelpark and the Hilton hotel at the Apollolaan. This is a traditional Italian restaurant with Italian personnel, that always gives an Italian restaurant something extra. When we arrived we were welcomed by Massimo himself, he guided us to our table outside.
The restaurant has a modern but warm interior, just enough of both to make you feel welcome and also aware of the fact that you are in a classy joint.
The menu is devided in anti pasti, primi, secondi and dolci (dessert), just like it should be. The anti pasti and primi all cost about 12 Euros, the secondi 20 Euros and the dolci 6 Euros. Not cheap, but not too much for the quality. All ingredients are fresh and the portions are big. Massimo has a great wine card with big traditional Italian wines like a Barolo or Brunello to guide the courses. The staff knows all about the wines, so they can inform you to make sure you’ll get just the right wine.
