Science center nemo is known for their science center, a fun museum for kids from 5 years and up. Everyday NEMO gets mostly young visitors, who can do and discover all kinds of science and technology experiments.

It’s located on the IJ–tunnel and you can spot it pretty well when viewing the central station area on skyline – level (10 minutes walk from Central Station)  .

The best thing that NEMO has, is suitable for all ages: On the 6th floor there is a huge roof terrace.
In summer NEMO creates a little beach for the kids to play in and there are beachchairs which you can use to get a nice tan and watch the beautiful skyline of Amsterdam.
At the same time you can order a cold beer and some food at the bar while you see the cars disappearing beneath you in the IJ – tunnel. The best way to get to the roof terrace is to enter NEMO next to the IJ–tunnel up the big staircase.

NEMO is a perfect alternative on a hot day in the city when you don’t feel like traveling to the real beach.

Entrance to roofterrace with a great view: Free | Day of chillin’:  € 50 per person | Entrance NEMO: € 13,50 per person.
Everyone from four years old and upwards pays the same entrance fee at NEMO. Children up to three years old are free. There are also special prices and discounts. This is usually in combination with proof (for example a student card or a CJP young person’s card) that must be shown at the time of purchase.
