Club Vlla used to be a place where you paid your last respects to the dearly departed. Now its one the newest gems in the city. Vlla is a club restaurant in Amsterdam West and a venue where they play live music. It’s a nice building with a roof terrace  a beautiful big garden and a excellent sound system. They don’t have club nights every weekend but they do organize something so there is always something to do. I visited the place on the first of January. In Amsterdam its almost a tradition to organize parties during the day on the first on January. Most of these parties are sold out faster then new years eve parties. The Vlla party was quiet but that was maybe because we came in around 11 pm. At the door, after ringing the bell! 20 times, we got an empty balloon pushed in our hands. On the dance floor there was a big bottle of nitrous oxide where you could fill your empty balloon with. You don’t see this allot in clubs so this was a welcome surprise! The atmosphere is extremely relaxed in way of everything goes. The people are a bit alternative but allot of fun!

The only disadvantage of Vlla is that it’s in city part Slotervaart, which is quite a ride out of the city centre. Best buy is to take a taxi which will cost about 15 euros. From the city centre. I have to say it will be worth it!
