Imagine film Festival – An annual event, Imagine, formerly known as Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival is a gala showcasing cinematic wonders. Imagine which began as a modest ‘Weekend of Terror’ has now evolved into an expansive programme showcasing films from various genres such as horror, fantasy, science fiction, animation, thriller, cult etc.

Imagine has always been popular for screening the very best international horror releases. Along with the showcase of 25 short and 45 long films, the festival also includes features, retrospectives, masterclasses, themed programmes and presentations from domestic as well as international directors who are invited to discuss their work. The themed programmes and masterclasses are meant to explore specific aspects of a film in detail. Apart from more than seventy screenings overall, the Imagine festival also facilitates the most popular film chosen by the audience with a Silver Screen Award and hand outs a lifetime achievement award to the director chosen by the jury.
